Care & Maintenance Keeping Your Wood Walls Beautiful 

Dusting and Deep Cleaning 

Like fine wood furniture, wood veneer wallcoverings can collect dust over time. Regular dusting with a soft cloth is great for everyday upkeep. About twice a 
year, it’s a good idea to use a vacuum with a soft brush attachment. This helps pull out any tiny bits of dust or debris that might be hiding in the natural texture 
of the wood. 

Washing Away Smudges 

Wood veneer wallcovering in busy areas eventually picks up fingerprints or surface dirt. To clean, simply mix a few drops of mild dish soap into a gallon of 
warm water. Use a soft sponge to gently cleanse small areas - one area at a time. Rinse with a little clean water and—this is the important part—buff the area 
dry immediately with a fresh cloth. Drying it right away prevents any streaks or foggy spots from forming. 

Things to Avoid 

• Harsh Chemicals: Stay away from cleaners containing ammonia or bleach, as these can strip away the wood’s protective finish. 
• Moisture: Keep the wood dry. In very humid rooms, try to keep the air moving to prevent moisture from sitting on the surface. 
• Immediate Cleanup: If something spills or splashes on the wall, wipe it up right away so it doesn't soak into the seams or affect the glue. 

Maintaining the Shine 

Luxe Surfaces wood veneers have a natural glow that doesn't need much help to stay bright. You don’t need to use wax, which can actually make the surface 
look dull and sticky over time. If you want a bit more shine, you can lightly apply an oil-based polish with a microfiber cloth, but simple dusting is usually all you need to keep the wood looking its best.
