The Inspiration: Spun Gossamer

The Aesthetic: Fiberdrill by Patty Madden imagines a veil of gossamer threads, as though fairy hands had spun fine filaments into an intricate, weightless web. Delicate strands cross and gather in an apparently spontaneous rhythm, creating a richly layered  surface with no rigid weave to contain it. Tactile embossing gives this airy tracery definition, while subtle tonal shifts reveal the overlapping fibres and their quiet depth. Ethereal from a distance and absorbing up close, Fiberdrill brings the poetry of threadwork to a refined architectural interiors.
